We look forward to your stay at the Hotel am Berg.
The building in which the Hotel am Berg is located was originally built around 1900. It served the brewery entrepreneur Philipp Kempff (Binding brewery) as a residence for himself and his family. At the end of World War II, a bomb fell on the house and much of the interior was destroyed.
In 1949, construction entrepreneur Helmut Ohm decided to rebuild the bombed-out building true to the original. In the early 1950s, he and his family opened the Hotel am Berg in it. After his death in 1968, his wife Friedel continued to run the hotel on her own. She died in 1997. Her daughter Hannelore von Baross and her husband Joachim decided to continue the business, and have been doing so with great passion to this day.
The Hotel am Berg can now look back on almost 70 years of history as a family business. In a way, it is a piece of contemporary Frankfurt history.
